Two cool images found in Picsou Magazine

First, a rather cool self-portrait of Giovan Battista Carpi with ducks and mice--and, perhaps of more interest to fans, a photograph of Carpi with Carl Barks hisself:

...so was Carpi unusually short, or was Barks unusually tall?  My knowledge regarding the relative heights of Disney artists is tragically limited.

Second, the bizarre image that Luciano Bottaro produced in response to the question that famously prompted Don Rosa to draw the ducks at Scrooge's grave:

Right, then!  As you were.

GeoX,

I never met Barks or saw him in person, but the impression I've gotten from pictures is that he was rather tall.

Re the Bottaro image: Shouldn't that be "what happened to Uncle ScroogeS?"

That was my initial impression as well, but then I realized I wasn't sure what if anything it was based on. C'mon, inducks! Heights of creators! List 'em! Get it together here!

Carpi doesn’t draw himself as particularly tall – certainly in relation to the characters, and his feet don’t touch the floor. So, I’m certain Barks stands as tall as we all imagine he would, and Carpi is somewhat “under-tall” – but talented nonetheless.

I've met both Barks (in 1994) and Carpi (in 1997). Carpi indeed was a quite little man whereas Barks was probably taller than men of his ages. I also have the impression that Americans are taller on average than south Europeans (not north Europeans).
And no we won't add that kind of info in Inducks.

It would be interesting for Inducks though to have these French publications (fully) indexed.

So it would. They both appear in Picsou Magazine 360.
