Giraffes?

Hey, whatever, man! I need to find out if they ever discover that lost mine!

Actually, I originally wanted to get a picture of myself ignoring gorillas in favor of Barks--more iconically Rwandan, dontcha know--but the way it worked out, we were in very close quarters, and there was really no way to get a good picture of that nature. And honestly, seeing gorillas in the wild was so unbelievably awesome that pretending to ignore them for even a second would have been asking a lot. Here's a totally non-duck-related picture of a gorilla in the undergrowth, however:

Anyway, I'm super-jet-lagged, so I'm going to go sleep for a bunch of hours. More anon.

As great as your original photo idea is ... I wouldn't want it go awry and result in a gorilla-mauled Geo! And the picture that did get taken is great, anyway! (Points scored for bringing something as eclectic as a Gladstone I "album" across the world!)

Glad to see you're back -- I've been needing my Duck Comics Revue fix.

Rest well, and hope you've recovered from the jet lag soon!

Actually, ignoring the gorilla is probably the safest way to handle such an encounter. If you stare it in the face, it will perceive you as threathening.
