Straight-up chillaxin' on the Zambezi River
Those are hippos you can barely see in the background. More stuff in the future, including our traditional effort to spotlight/promote the newly-released Gottfredson book.
How's the following for a challenge? Travel to every non-fictional locale depicted on all of Barks' adventure stories, and do a whole series of photos with the same theme as this one, showing you reading a comic that contains (ideally as the cover feature) the relevant stor(ies)! (...yeah, I know, it's really impractical, and probably not what you plan on devoting your life to.) (...and I'm wondering if joking, "The photos should be made into a calendar!" would be pushing things too far!) :)
(Man, I do hope that at least once in my lifetime, I'll travel off of this continent.)
Hope that you had fun, and looking forward to those upcoming posts!
You don’t just READ these comics, my friend, you LIVE ‘em!
ReplyDeleteBring back a few lost treasures for all of us!

Anyone notice the comic Geo is holding reprints Tony Strobl’s cover for DONALD DUCK # 97 (1964)?
ReplyDeleteNice Strobl tribute, Geo!
