Quick Boom April Roundup

Donald Duck: The conclusion of "Foreign Correspondent?" I did not know it was being broken in half. I am miffed. Miffed, I say! Also, a sequel that I didn't know existed, to "Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold!" by Jack Hannah. That's certainly fucking interesting.
UPDATE: "Donald Duck and the Pirates" was a Cheerios giveaway from 1947, and it's being reprinted in the US for the first time ever. I have to say it: Boom, you're kind of awesome lately. Did you just out of nowhere hire a whole bunch of people who get it all of a sudden? Regardless, more like this, please.

Uncle Scrooge: "The Fabulous Philosopher's Stone," on the twentieth anniversary (to the month) of its last US publication in comic-book form (it was published more recently in the CBL in Color), with a nice Rota cover. I have it, of course, but I can't complain; great story for sure. Still, what with 401 consisting of Rosa's "Universal Solvent," I hope we're not just going to be seeing reprints of tried-and-true stories in US.

WDC: More Van Horn goodness; a Paul Murray story featuring Mickey and Ludwig, of all pairings; and a European Gyro story of some sort. Looks like a worthwhile issue; groovy Van Horn cover, too:

  1. Agree 100 percent. BOOM! has taken their work to a higher level. Give them credit for trying some new stuff, but there's no denying that this is the product they've should've rolled out with in the first place.
